According to the Announcement No. 464 of the National Intellectual Property Office of China, the electronic exchange service for priority documents commenced on September 3, 2012 based on the Announcement No. 177 of the Office has been suspended since January 1, 2022 due to the adjustment of the electronic exchange services of the European Patent Office for priority files.

To continuing the services of providing electronic priority files for applicants from both Offices, the National Intellectual Property Office of China and the European Patent Office had reached the conclusion after discussions to move the electronic exchange services for priority files between the two Offices to the WIPO DAS platform.  For applications with an application date on or after January 1, 2022, if the applicant wishes to obtain an electronic priority file issued by the National Intellectual Property Office of China or the European Patent Office, it shall apply and obtain the said document in accordance with the requirements of the WIPO DAS platform.
